How do I add a new module?

This article will walk you through how to add a new module to the library.

  1. Under the Content heading in the left hand side menu, click Modules.

  2. Click the add icon to show the screen to add a new module.

  3. At the Create Module screen, you are provided with several options on what type of modules are available to create.

    Type Description
    Upload Upload one or more files, such as videos, audio, PDF documents, graphics, etc. These are stored on Huddle Monkey and count towards your alloted storage space based on your plan. Click the Allowed File Types button to see a full list of supported file types.
    YouTube Reference a video from YouTube. You can search YouTube for a video or use a known video link.
    Vimeo Reference a video from Vimeo. You can search Vimeo for a video or use a known video link.
    Embed Use an embed code from any provider to display content.
    Text Create a banner-like text display to use as a header for your content.

Upload

  1. Click the Upload button in the left hand side menu.

  2. Use the indicator to determine how much storage is available based on your current plan. This will tell you what percentage of your storage is used and how much is left.

  3. Click the Browse button to select one or more files to upload or drag and drop the files into the box.

  4. Click the Upload button to start the upload. Progress indicators will now become visible during the upload process.

  5. Upon completion, you will see a "File uploaded successfully" message and the upload indicator will change to an edit icon. You can click the edit icon to view the module in edit mode or continue to create more modules from the current screen.

YouTube

  1. Click the YouTube button in the left hand side menu.

  2. Enter a YouTube share link or a search term and click Search to see a max of 20 results.

  3. To add content based on a YouTube video, click the green plus button.

  4. Upon success, the green plus button changes to an edit button. You can click the edit button to view the module in edit mode or continue to create more modules from the current screen.

Vimeo

  1. Click the Vimeo button in the left hand side menu.

  2. Enter a Vimeo share link or a search term and click Search to see a max of 20 results.

  3. To add content based on a Vimeo video, click the green plus button.

Embed

  1. Click the Embed button in the left hand side menu.

  2. Copy an embed code from any source that offers the service and paste it into the textbox. The display will automatically update to show the results of the embed code.

  3. To add content based on the embed code, enter a title and click the green plus button.

  4. Upon success, the green plus button changes to an edit button. You can click the edit button to view the module in edit mode or continue to create more modules from the current screen.

Text

  1. Click the Text button in the left hand side menu.

  2. Enter the title of the module in the Title textbox. The preview will automatically update to show the updated title.

  3. Optionally, change the background and text color of the banner using the color dropdown menus. The preview will automatically update to show the updated color scheme.

  4. Click the Create Module button.

  5. Upon success, the button changes to an Edit Module button. You can click the Edit Module button to view the module in edit mode or continue to create more modules from the current screen.
